Valentine Bouquet
Canopy
my
fistful of sky
Lighted
daily
by
sunshine
of my
mind
Nightly
By
cluster
of
twinkling
lanterns
I plant in the fertile soil of my heart
A variety of seedling thoughts
Nurture them with reason, rhyme
And
as they bloom in high season
scythe
them lovingly to share
With friends dear ones
Knowing well this is one
Gift
that will attract more
Blooms from my poet friends
Being a gift that gives endlessly
