The Tragedy

A cruel hand dealt a severe blow
Wiping out a chunk of humanity
Yet out of the ashes emerged
The valiant few Diehards
Who cheered our souls
Who brightened our spirits.
The indomitable human spirit
Showed its face in various ways
Those who could not be put down
Those who raised the flags
Those who emptied their coffers
Those who served the incapacitated
Those who kept candlelight vigils
Those who prayed in various tongues
Those who toiled in the rubble
Tirelessly seeking embers of life
Those who gave succor to the hurt
Those who took charge n maintained
Order in all the madness n mayhem
Imparting confidence to a shaky nation!!

When any calamity has been suffered, the first thing to be remembered is how much has been escaped-Samuel Johnson
