The Healer

 Soft feathery strokes
Dancing in the air
Soothing calming
Sucking all pain
Undulating endlessly
Hands mesmerizing
Rhythmically in motion

Arms cocooning
Embracing bracing
Intermittently crooning
Exuding loving grace
Quietening the mind
Relaxing the stricken
Absorbing all grief

Healing energy waves
Encircle and succor the
Sick in body and mind
Pain gets slowly dissipated
Gradually evaporating
And healing energy enters
Filling the void

Soft feathery strokes
Dancing in the air
Soothing calming
Sucking all pain
Undulating endlessly
Hands mesmerizing
Rhythmically in motion

Everyone has a doctor in him or her; we just have to help it in its work. The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well. Our food should be our medicine. Our medicine should be our food. But to eat when you are sick, is to feed your sickness.

Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.
Hippocrates (460 BC – 377 BC), Precepts

Of one thing I am certain, the body is not the measure of healing – peace is the measure.
George Melton
With the gift of listening comes the gift of healing.
Catherine de Hueck

Sickness and healing are in every heart; death and deliverance in every hand.
Orson Scott Card (1951 – ), Speaker for the Dead

Forgiveness is the healing of wounds caused by another. You choose to let go of a past wrong and no longer be hurt by it. Forgiveness is a strong move to make, like turning your shoulders sideways to walk quickly on a crowded sidewalk. It’s your move.
