Terrible Thirst

Imperfect

Afflicted

Unschooled

In artifice

~I daily lament

My wean

From thee

~we connected

and I was ruined~

having supped manna

of your presence

your absence

Makes life

A sin~

Evergreen memories

tidal wave joyous

splashes in mottled

Grief stricken veins

Of my length, girth

setting aglow

every filament

Fiber~ frissons

Of excitement course

Through and through

My fired

Vibrancies~

Your baby babble

Was my Waterloo

My thwarted maternal

Love’s undoing~

You wiped that stricken

Look from my face

With your chubby

Gossamer soft hands

Oh so gently!

My bliss~

This life’s

Zenith~

Come to me

In any form

it matters little

just come

My vacant

Arms ache

For thee~

Stay

Not withdrawn

I wait,

Breath bated

Eyes peeled,

Voluminous

tears ~Medusa

Congealed

Stalactites~

Waiting from eons

Unquenched, craving

longs slake,

Again bask

In divine love

for final thaw

In thee~

Detach

to attach

Eternally~

Patience wears thin

Aging bones creak

Querulous voice

Pleads I am imperfect

Afflicted, have trespassed

Several times, my sole

Saving grace being

My unwavering love

For thee,

Accept me

As I am,

Faulty,

Imperfect~

My heart

Still beats strong

As you reside in it

you are~

Therefore,

I am~

We are

But one

My eternal

Lover, beloved~
