New York Storm of Sept 16
Storm
Banshee winds
Pounding hearts
Slashing sheets
whipping raindrops
Hitting hard
Nature’s fury unleashed, no
Fanfare, unceremoniously
Tree limbs cracked fell
People ran pell mell
Who was who hard to tell
Sidewalks – a war zone
Of broken limbs, tree carcasses
Leaves about to turn, were
Still on verge of coloring
Lay forlorn, tearlessly withering
