Triplets
tripping triplets
in driblets
uncoupled singlets
In yesterday’s sky
Stars twinkled like her eyes
She is alone today
Birds soared along with
Jaunty colorful kites
Arid earth seared
Overhead sun glowed
Perky flowers lifted heads
Frogs did not rivet
Prowling tomcat jumped
Landing in neighbor’s yard
To meet mistress
Silent monks sat on mats
In prayer hall to meditate
Voice left the temple bell
The moon shimmered
In the lake waters
She sat reflecting
In teeming forest
Orchid basked in glory
In solitary splendor
