descending
aged steps
mind irreverent
chilling waters
Swirling furiously
uneasiness
million throngs
variegated chants
oft bewildering
cynical
questioning
know it all
urged
coaxed
cajoled
protesting
reluctant
half-hearted
toe dipped
in Ganga
eureka!!
ecstasy throes
no more woes
cares shorn
hair standing on end
mind no longer hellbent
Whole being suffused in joy
to rein in relentless march of time
willingly would’ve parted with every dime

(p.s.: every time I take a dip in the Holy Ganges at Haridwar, UP, India
my mind simply opens up and I get a wondrous experience of the cosmos- it has happened a few times- was scared at first but have learnt to enjoy it)
