Fire And Water
Fire And Water
Fire And Water
Fire
With togetherness remains in heart
I consigned his remains to flames
Amidst holy chants, stoic, tearless
Returning betwixt early dawn, night remains
We gathered purified remains-bones, ashes
Retrieving from dying embers’ slow burn to urn
**
Water
Journey through revolving door had begun
For final release of fire purified soul, bones
Immersing them reverently into holy waters
Fire
Shooting for a passage with no return
I consign myself daily to flames, chanting
Let true self remain, rest cinder a slow burn
Water
Immersing my being in bliss of his being
I drown daily in throes of forgetfulness binge
Connections lost, made, keeping me centered
