Suddenly

You entered my life suddenly…

I was in the throes of utter despair

My life was a fast forward video

Zooming past– an amalgam

Of bitter n cherished moments

All zipping by

Lost in the sands of time.

I was trying unsuccessfully

To climb out of my trough of despair

It seemed impossible

The light at the end of the tunnel

Was missing!

You came along

Gave me a lift up

Out of this well

Of sheer misery

Wiped my tears

Gave me hope n

Faith in myself n

My ability to bounce back!

Now, words fail me

They are inadequate

In letting you know

How blessed I feel

That you entered my life

With your constant banter

Cheer and encouragement

And I am quite overcome!
