sprawl

binaJuly2014 7734

Bird’s eye sights a city’s sprawl
Hastening, unhurried simultaneously

Eons have zipped by wading
City’s myriad arteries, veins

At the end of day
It’s all about love…

Fumbling in my heart
With a microscope

I found it was just the same
As before, encompassing

Life’s erratic ripples
Had dented, not changed

Wide eyed child retracing
Lived life, eyes now open

Savvy doe in headlight ready
To hop out of harm’s way

Self preservation is a powerful instinct
and time it’s greatest teacher

Still love as water finds crevices
Going underground judiciously

Never quite drying
Simply biding time

For resurfacing, rippling, gathering
Momentum, pure at heart, always-
