All dressed up and blooming she waited for his return
Her ears perked in readiness to hear the musical sounds
Of the turning key, the familiar steps approaching….
Yet it did not happen, it was a false alarm
The neighbor had returned, the clanging of the elevator
Meant some more wait for her lover to return….
Love enslaved her such that she became dependent
On the moods of her beloved who like a chameleon often
Turned hot to cold, yet she weathered them all calmly….
Love invaded her every pore, she breathed for him alone
She thought of him constantly, her love crossing all limits
She existed and survived for love and love alone….
The love bug had bitten her hard and the cure for this malaise
Was her beloved whose arrival she awaited with bated breath
And fervent prayers in her heart for the time to fly….
Suddenly there is music in the air, her love had fine-tuned
Her sixth sense making her uncanny and clairvoyant
Giving new meaning to her passionate love
And her season of happiness had begun….
‘To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both the sides.”
