Setting Sun Seascape
Yawning glowing orb calling it a day
Hoping life has gathered enough hay
Shining dawn to dusk, its usual way
Inking sky dotted with myriad starry twinkles
A delicate stole sheathing aching earth’s wrinkles
A soothing salve easing pain inflicted by vandals
Endless waves rip ebb from shore to shore
Serenely performing duty sans rancor
Waves crooning lullaby to earth, their score
Horizon demonstrates everything has limits
Equitably dividing earth heaven in fair spirits
Knowing- striving souls can stretch orbits!!
Change, like sunshine, can be a friend or a foe,
a blessing or a curse, a dawn or a dusk.
William A. Ward
There is only one day left, always starting over:
it is given to us at dawn and taken away from us at dusk.
Let every dawn be to you as the beginning of life,
and every setting sun be to you as its close.
Faith is an island in the setting sun,
But proof is the bottom line for everyone.
