Momentarily am down, not out
Life and destiny, be not proud
Your blows fail to make me cowed
I simply refuse to be bowed!
In childhood you robbed me blind
I scavenged n found scraps of love binds
Cherishing every morsel with infinite relish
Defeating all no matter however brutish
In adulthood you challenged me once again
I accepted your gauntlet and did not complain
My job was won after suffering lots of pain
I soared not allowing my hope to wane!!
My background was less than lustrous
Your constant hacking an added distress
Yet I found my soul mate in a princess
Who found in me, true love in her quest!!!
The dark murky clouds that were my lot
Scattered finally failing to make my life a blot
Sunshine flooded, music rose in a crescendo
Rays of hope bound in love, now all aglow!!!
Even in evil, we discern rays of light and hope, and gradually
come to see, in suffering and temptation, proofs and instruments
of the sublimest purposes of wisdom and love.
William Ellery Channing
A hard beginning maketh a good ending.
