Painted Skies

Traveling  far and wide

Aching limbs, countless miles

One thing that invoked joy

Was the sight of mystical

Unfurling, never, never land

Wonder~ of painted skies~

Chameleonic, flattened

Glass, colored expanse

Imbuing variegated hues

Azure from flowing waters

Green grass, molten oranges

From growing, leaving fiery ball

when round robin day was done,

begun~

Splashes of silver, streaks of soot

Cool its face after morning’s sear

Fiery flicks begin to dissipate~

Stars twinkle, inviting mischief

In presence of glistening Luna

Let doors to ballrooms open

And lovers waltzes begin~
