defined starfish wishes

Tender priceless pearls

Of fulfilled wishes

Iridescent priceless

Safely tied in lush red

Velvet pouches of memory

I scuba dive daily

Looking for sunken

Treasures fathoms deep

in ocean bed of mind

 

wrecks of desires strew

dreams’ firmament

stars twinkle to cheer

spirit like the flicker

of a falling star’s tail

flares in hope to disappear

moon of mooning face

glows in smiles to keep

covenant made to self

to shine regardless

of inclement weather

weathering

in courage

stiff upper lip

maybe bloody

head is still
