Momentous Moments

Momentous Moments

Life’s a flood of moments to measure
Panned few, my own precious treasure

Lovingly placed in jeweler’s palm
Masterpiece crafted,  love psalm

Reverently deposited in safe deposit box
Moments in time -baby’s first booty sox

Hoarded first anklets of tiny darling feet
Recorded baby babble, wonderful treat

Preserved rose bud to mark love’s declaration
A temporary ring, circle of love, to emblazon

Honeymoon memories captured in photo album
Precious moments paused, frozen, love’s dictum

Wedding cake wedge placed in freezer for luck
Romance’s song parody taped by naughty puck

Locks of hair of my only love and my baby
Tiffs mock or real, moments sweet n crabby

First contract, spilled guts, hard work paid off
Baby’s stellar report, parent’s proud showoff

Comfortable old clothes, rocker and blazing fire
Fresh scalding coffee to beat winter’s snowy ire

Few stolen serene moments when busy day is done
Loving arms holding close two hearts – beats one

Sorrowful final goodbyes to revered aged parents
All rites performed, etched permanently in absence

Life giveth  life taketh,  veritable flood of moments
Sweet, sour, bitter, happy, sad, all precious events

Life isn’t a matter of milestones, but of moments.

My life comes down to three moments: the death of my father,
meeting my husband, and the birth of my daughter.  Everything
I did previous to that just doesn’t seem to add up to very much.

We do not remember days, we remember moments.
The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten.
Cesare Pavese Italian, Poet
You will find as you look back upon your life that
the moments when you have really lived  are the
moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.
Henry Drummond Scottish, Writer

There are moments of life that we never forget,
which brighten and brighten as time steals away.

My Fav. Song

U2 Lyrics – When Will I See You Again
Ooooo-oo, Aaaa-ah

When will I see you again
When will we share precious moments
Will I have to wait forever
Or will I have to suffer and
 cry the whole night through

When will I see you again
When will our hearts beat together
Are we in love or just friends
Is this my beginning or is this the end
When will I see you again

Are we in love or just friends
Is this my beginning or is this the end
When will I see you again…
