Letting Go

Loosened curled palms
Lowered shoulders, taut
Swabbed sanguine nails, palms

Discarded emotion’s black threads
Flattering bright garb, grabbed
Having been nurtured by light

Never in denial of grief’s dark pockets
Have cleared their dockets, lickety-split
Yolk sun twinkles in sky, no longer tilted ~

*Painting Sunrise is by Claude Monet
