Innocents' Plea
Innocent’s Plea
Gandhi’s three monkeys are we
Embarked on life’s turbulent sea
Hope faith and courage on a quest
To find leg room in present unrest
Unopened buds full of promise and potential
Seek heavenly succor for growth and survival
Harsh weather, black storms overhead loom
We want healing panacea not environmental doom
Childhood goes begging from untimely manhood
Forced ripening of callow youth before time not good
Metamorphosis in us should be for betterment and on time
Let’s carry constructive tools only n books for life sublime
In a makeshift boat of hope we seek to crack nature’s mystery
How sea n sky co-exist amicably, will be an exciting discovery
We wish for promising dawns, happy days and golden sunsets
We seek strategies for survival, not war cries from zealous bigots
Answers we seek from nature and the almighty
What ails our warring bruised world and humanity
Plumbing ocean depths with our hands oh so tiny
We hope to discover treasure of faith and hope shiny
Healing touch of love, salve of peace and prosperity
Let these be our goals and our legacy for posterity
Innocence has launched a quest for a bright new dawning
Seeking happy healthy friendly world, a hopeful morning !
Gandhi’s three monkeys are we
Embarked on life’s turbulent sea
Hope faith and courage on a quest
To find leg room in present unrest

Two aged men, that had been foes for life, Met by a grave,
and wept – and in those tears They washed away the memory
of their strife; Then wept again the loss of all those years.
