incognito ache

Incognito ache
Has gotten its claws
Dug inside as I flounder
To pinpoint, label and
Dislodge posthaste

It will not respond
To the likes of ibuprofen
Aleve, Motrin, plain aspirin, I’ve
Examined all my limbs individually
And head heart tender belly

Am so over the hill for this hide
And seek except when am playing
With my delightfully heartwarming
Grand kids, plus I have no desire
To adopt this unwelcome lodger

What shall I do? You tell me
Call 911, knock neighbors’ doors
Am going to sit quietly in my cozy
Armchair and recite “Ohm, ohm”
