Hunger

Pangs crunch

Wanting tongue

Not amenable to biting it

 

Parched throat

Craves slake

Glassy eyed

 

These fussy children

Are easily diverted

Time clocks sabotaged

 

Mind is that bulldog

Holding between teeth

Will worry till it gives

 

Unfurling fist of mind

I invite wisdom butterflies

To alight on palm n fingertips
