Harmony Quilt
Harmony Quilt
Embarked on project of bonhomie
And goodwill for years too many
I decided finally to put together a
A circle of friends quilt of harmony
Collected life patches from all corners of the world
Friends sent in their personal patches lovingly curled
Each patch was colorful, lovely, exquisite and unique
Depicting its creator’s own take on life in fine technique
The stitched pieces of their lives, rich in color and patina
Spoke volumes of experiences, their own individual saga
A truly rich gamut of emotions they contained, a whole range
Pathos, joy, triumph, courage, anger, jealousy and fears strange
They gave an insight into their sensuality, spirituality and origin
The journeys taken, life juices partaken, and their own visions
Textures used quickened tactile senses, rich color piqued the artist
Neat stitches showed loving caring nature of individual alchemist
These wonderful life patches of all the circle of friends I gathered
Stitched them together in a cohesive manner, harmoniously tethered
The finished product was a sight to behold, a veritable masterpiece
All found themselves throbbing and living in this timeless showpiece!!!
