Granny's Discomfort And Joy

Granny’s Discomfort And Joy
On one hand capturing moments of bliss
I partook a dose of floating pollen whiffs
It entered my airways in constriction swift
Merciless in precision of army knife Swiss
Comatose and knocked out by nature’s attack
I combatted by ingesting an antihistamine pack
Amidst sniffles and misery I celebrated my trip
Lest moments of joy be shortlived giving me a slip
Such is life it gives in full measure n takes away too
Downing a giddy head full of euphoria a peg or two
Irrepressible I valiantly fought and tried to overcome
As nothing can part me from angel resting on bosom
A baby is a bridge binding generations misunderstood
As sons n daughters selves realize trials of parenthood
Sleepless nights interpersed with wails and feedings
Are all harbingers as well of good and joyous tidings
Allergies notwithstanding I espied a Bluejay n Oriole too
A Cardinal hopped on the backyard deck with a howdy doo
My discomfort is giving me sleepless nights creating misery
Yet I am very happy to have met my first grandchild finally
On one hand capturing moments of bliss
I partook a dose of floating pollen whiffs
It entered my airways in constriction swift
Merciless in precision of army knife Swiss
Comatose and knocked out by nature’s attack
I combatted by ingesting an antihistamine pack
Amidst sniffles and misery I celebrated my trip
Lest moments of joy be shortlived giving me a slip
My trip soon shall come to an end today
Big chunk of my heart will at her tiny feet lay
An automaton shall return with a partial heart
Knowing tomorrows will be sweeter n less tart
