taste these days

even though stuff tastes
as sawdust, head being
still stubbornly stuffy
childhood “molded”
into cheeses conjures
mural(ed) memories

excited jumps at sound of
doorbell most evenings, headlong
rushes anticipating delicious
treats from daddy~
marzipan, cheeses
chocolates

Now, tiny bites
into sharp New York cheddar
once savored over tongue,
results in payback’s
of lingering
delicious
tastes

pearly magic

raindropsin flowers

~
pearly magic
conjured by night
teeters
hovering on tree’s
green hair ends
expectantly
at daylight
~
moist,
translucent
transparent
nature’s prisms, waiting
for dawning sun’s kisses
to gloriously burst
into songs

coming home

Monet;sgarden

this awakening
in hours when others
sleep, night, supposedly
still

senses honed
mind, heart
accepting whatever’s
about

this self dissolution,
flow into nameless
gives a come home
feel

unvoiced

Never hankered
For moon or stars
only handful of sky

Solicitous arm
Across droopy shoulders
When sun was on the run

Bit of fuss
Spontaneous jive
When weariness arrived
Raja Ravi Varma
Cheery words’
Inundating drench
When hope benched

Unraveling
Became breezy
During life’s downs

Leg ups would’ve been
nice to step to the plate, help
Stride on life’s high grounds

Satiated in life
In every which way
Had merely sought warmth

was that too much?

ending is also a beginning

I never left
am, was
here to stay
my atoms
dance in air
glimmer as
stardust in sky
wobble as
dewdrops on
grasses, petals
linger as
love in hearts
Hover as
memories
in friendly conversations
I am, was, everywhere
I began
when
I ended
