FLAME
Enflame me with your passion
Cool me in your unique fashion
Let’s ride the crest of love tide high
Forgetting present with nary a sigh!!!
Hide me in your warming embrace
Away from reality’s fall from grace
My world is no longer a happy place
Let’s go find comfort’s soothing trace!!
Light me up like a church wish candle
Send forth our prayers to the Lord aerial
Seek blessings to fill up our mantle
Rescue us from us as life turns brutal
Reality has now worn a death mask
To regain sanity is a Herculean task
In past smugness we can no longer bask
Seeking order from chaos is all we ask!!
There are flames and there are flames
One flame’s forked tongue burns all in path
One flame managed and banked gives warmth
Let’s enflame n enlighten on basis- warpath
I am tired of searing my soul with harsh reality
Hearing unpalatable truths sounding like a banshee
Sing me an anthem of peace, bonhomie, live n let live
We have a short time on earth to make our marks n give
Enflame me with your passion
Cool me in your unique fashion
Let’s ride the crest of love tide high
Forgetting present with nary a sigh!!!
Seared singed and hurt, I cower in fear
Life’s gone awry and totally out of gear
Let’s find an even keel to drive and steer
Stamping out all flames that burn and sear
Hide me in your warming embrace
Away from reality’s fall from grace
My world is no longer a happy place
Let’s go find comfort’s soothing trace!!

It does no harm just once in a while to acknowledge that the whole country
isn’t in flames, that there are people in the country besides politicians,
entertainers, and criminals. – Charles Kuralt
Young love is a flame; very pretty, often very hot and fierce, but still only
light and flickering. The love of the older and disciplined heart is as coals,
deep burning, unquenchable.- Henry Ward Beecher (1813 – 1887)
Wit is brushwood; judgment timber; the one gives the greatest flame, and the other
yields the most durable heat; and both meeting make the best fire. – Overlung
Education is not to reform students or amuse them or to make them expert technicians.
It is to unsettle their minds, widen their horizons, inflame their intellects, teach
them to think straight, if possible.- Robert M. Hutchins
Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your
life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility
into flames of achievement. – Foster C. McClellan
A great flame follows a little spark.
Dante Alighieri (1265 – 1321), The Divine Comedy
It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents–except at occasional
intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets
rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps
that struggled against the darkness.
Edward Bulwer-Lytton (1803 – 1873), Paul Clifford (1830)
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to
themselves, “You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just
not close enough to get the job done.”
George Carlin (1937 – 2008)
Love In Myriad Hues
One love erodes, one love shores
One love tatters, one love stitches
One love depresses, one love elates
One love batters, one love comforts
One love deadens, one love enlivens
One love saddens, one love gladdens
One love diminishes, one love builds
One love is a blessing, one love is a curse
One love gives despair, one love give hope
One love pushes over the edge, one love rescues
One love sacrifices self one love demands sacrifice
One love suffocates in obsession, one love liberates
One love makes senseless, one love sharpens senses
One love makes you sink, one love makes you swim
One love makes one fearful, one love makes fearless
One love make you crestfallen, one puts in throes of rapture
One love skims on surface, one love plumbs the depths
One love drives towards intoxication, one love gives a natural high
One love makes you cynical, one love makes you sentimental
One love lifts emotionally, one love elevates spiritually

When I saw you I was afraid to meet you. When I met you I was afraid to kiss you.
When I kissed you I was afraid to love you. Now that I love you, I am afraid to lose you.

Love that is not madness is not love.- Pedro Calderon de la Barca ,Spanish, Dramatist
HATE
A heart filled with simmering venom putrid
What misguided teacher turned you so horrid
Hate and mistrust are the children of blindness.
Open your eyes wide, resort not to such darkness
You were born blameless full of joy and bonhomie
Your parents loved you, stayed put, never roaming
Their dreams for your success shone in their shiny eyes
Praying hard that you them fulfill and not resort to lies
Bad company, some small mishaps or misunderstandings
Propelled you in this vortex of hatred n vengeance wreaking
Putting you on path of a downward spiral with point of no return
Your name now blackened with bloodstained soul that all will spurn
Repent and cease this bloodshed forsaking violence eschewing hate
Heaven and God cannot be won with such acts leading to open gates
Seek forgiveness, making amends serving those you have hurt n maimed
Soul searching, self remonstrance and service will assuage those inflamed
It is quite okay to be a failure at those endeavors that you love
Rather than to be a success at something you were driven to hate!!
A heart filled with simmering venom putrid
What misguided teacher turned you so horrid
You were born blameless full of joy and bonhomie
Your parents loved you, stayed put, never roaming

A surging, seething, murmuring crowd of beings that are human only in name, for to the eye and ear they seem naught but savage creatures, animated by vile passions and by the lust of vengeance and of hate.- Baroness Orczy British, Novelist
Hate is always a clash between our spirit and someone else’s body.
Cesare Pavese Italian, Poet
I have learned to hate all traitors, and there is no disease that I spit on more than treachery.-Aeschylus Greek, Poet
According to Islamic principles, when a man is accused of heresy, he is given the choice between repentance and punishment-.Naguib Mahfouz Egyptian, Novelist
Remorse is impotence, it will sin again. Only repentance is strong, it can end everything.

True repentance has a double aspect. It looks upon things past with a weeping eye,
and upon the future with a watchful eye.-Robert Smith

Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer
Come on old friend, let us hook up and meet
Capture old memories after each other greet
Let us hug joyously and recollect and reminisce
Going back in time when we were mostly in bliss
Those glittering halcyon days of endless summers
Hastily eaten food, finished homework without a murmur
Dirty smeared faces, torn shirts, bruised knees n runny nose
Jumping jacks and marbles, ball games n snaky garden hose
Bitter doses of cold medicines, gulped hastily before yummy sweets
Chills and fevers ignored impatiently hearing pied piper’s drumbeat
Sneaking out like a ninja, palpitating heart in mouth, clenched firmly
Tiptoeing down the creaking staircase, ears perked askance warily
It was all such a hoot and we had lots of fun n enjoyment galore
Recollecting still gives me joy, bringing past thrills to the fore
Those rented bike rides, seated together we were a singing duo
Umbrella’s turning inside out drenching as we rode like an arrow
Come on old friend, let us hook up and meet
Capture old memories after each other greet
Let us hug joyously and recollect and reminisce
Going back in time when we were usually in bliss

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer
Just fill your basket full of sandwiches and weenies
Then lock the house up, now youre set
And on the beach youll see the girls in their bikinis
As cute as ever but they never get em wet
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Youll wish that summer could always be here
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer
Dont hafta tell a girl and fella about a drive-in
Or some romantic moon it seems
Right from the moment that those lovers start arrivin
Youll see more kissin <wolf whistle> in the cars than on the screen
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Youll wish that summer could always be here
Youll wish that summer could always be here
Youll wish that summer could always be here
Dream Weaver – Two
Call me not a dream robber
Call me not a dream stabber
Call me not a dream deflator
Call me not a dream merchant
I am a Dream Weaver
I gather strings of worries
I sense all secret longings
I collect all lovers’ pangs
I catch floating laments
I am a Dream Weaver
I drink all poisons of hate
I feed on societal ills’ spate
I reel in corruption that frustrates
I imbibe oppressions on my palate
I am a Dream Weaver
Give me your tired apathy
Your shattered aspirations
Your big small vexations
Your virtual real dungeons
I am a Dream Weaver
I will then convert this bitter gall
Into ambrosia, filling, topping a highball
Woven with all strings gathered in fall
Offering this manna to one and all
After all- I am your own personal Dream Weaver!!
