Raised mannequins’ arms

As speeding seconds

Sprinting ahead, alarmed

Undid buttoned metaphors

Deliberately, turning removed

Dresses inside out

Horse pushing carts

Carts pulling horses

Metaphors sparkled in novelty

Words performing thought cartwheels

Quicken interest, each fresh aroma

Delighting word gourmands, individually

Every word is a spine (d) feather attached

To a thought bird spreading its wings and

Somersaulting across poetic skies giddily

Liquid eyes expressing
Pure joy at fresh chances
In doggie expectations

My cup of joy bubbles over
Tips its hat spreading quickly
~grief’s cranky child cloys

Dawning of newborn day
Bears plethora of possibilities in wake
~can I keep promises made last night?

Squirrel with nose pressed on glass window
Harbinger of summer’s quickening heartbeat
~there is life beyond my facebook screen

Myriad poets, diverse orchestrated tones
Addressing gamut of emotional spectrum
~I can imbibe only that which is digestible

Beauty of words lies in conveyance and
Nuances garnered thereof, each partaking
~A unique individual experience

Prepared for a shattering surrender

Of my sanity in her mesmerizing grip

Her elusiveness only made me trip

Scanning skies with torches of my eyes

All I got in hand from back and front-

Yards’ sky sweep, was a big fat zip

Having experienced its wondrous beauty

Shimmering on the exquisite opalescent

Taj Mahal scores of moons ago in abundance

Now I merely grumble and mumble

Trying to recall my past touch of wonder

Folded in love’s arms now asunder(ed)

Go your own merry way silvery moon

In my heart I hold no grudges or rancor

I am already tad touched by another thunder

Earth shooting color in sprees

Today

Little leaguers

High spirited, geared

Paraded with joyous fanfare

Businesses other than eateries wore Rabbit ears

drums, clicking parents, strollers, cops mêlée

Cacophony ruled roost

Boosted spirits

Stayed
