Flower’s beauty fading unnoticed
Acts of kindness in cloak of secrecy
Shining moments before oblivion

Falling tears dried
Hope’s flame rekindled
Rain kept on falling

She ironed the creases in her dress
Wondered about creases in her life
Nonchalant began whistling

Repentance self flagellation
Spirit unscathed mere witness
“One” reality, smokescreen duality

fissured earth’s frail green flag

 

chopped stump’s octopus limbs

 

war ravaged bodies, a heart beating

 

browbeating dominance, spirit unwilling

 

a lark in my garden singing

 

nature’s breathtaking vista, returning breath

 

truth is that virus, no gun can kill

 

beholding nature’s handiwork, frozen music
