Au Claire De La Lune (In The Moonlight)

(picture from wiki- internet- disclaimer)

Embellished by starry lariats
Slithering sliding stretching
Across dark silken sheets, Diana
Deigns to show face in her boudoir

Her hold mesmerizing subtle
Luna packs mega power
Robs senses of many
Affects tides to crest n trough

At her beauty’s peak
Every full moon day, Moon
Attracts sacrifices n prayers
And in return empowers healers

Women pray for husband’s life annually
Lovers sing paeans to it’s silvery beauty
Moon holds place of honor in the heavens
This Diana does night’s canopy emblazon

Diana is patroness of animals n hunting
She play hide n seek suddenly vanishing
Veiled by clouds dark and foreboding
NO moon to New Moon leads to rejoicing!!

Moon is ultimate lover’s delight for comparisons
It’s beauty is tarnished when love’s undone
Lover’s honeymoon is soon over after quarrels
Honeys separate as moon’s sight them frazzles

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. -Buddha

Men are like the earth and we are the moon; we turn always one side to them,
and they think there is no other, because they don’t see it – but there is.
